Well my midwife sent me home with our birth kit and told me that anytime I go into labor now is safe and fine with her! I'm 38 weeks tomorrow (Tuesday), so technically I still have a few weeks to go, but I'll take what I can get. In fact, I kind of wish she hadn't told me that because now I'm getting really anxious, whereas before I had been fine to just be patient and let it happen when it happens. Anyway, now we wait....
Jocelyn has a been a little sick these days and I'm afraid she's given it both to Rob and I. She is just a little less active than usual, has a runny nose, and a freaking annoying cough. She coughs all night long and it keeps us all up. She has been crappy at sleeping these days, too, which really sucks because I sleep on the couch now (more comfortable for the giant pregnant woman) and making a billion trips up and down the stairs gets me all out of breath. Rob is really good about getting up with her, but sometimes she just wants her mom. We'll get through it all though, hopefully before the baby comes............so I guess I do want Ava to take her time. The less stress surrounding the birth, the better.
Speaking of our home birth, we are so excited! We've completed our Hypnobabies classes and even had our "practice birth" a few weeks ago. I feel like we're all set, other than a few household chores that need to be done. We're going to have yummy food and I will have my mom as my doula, my midwife, and of course my sweet Robbie to support me. We're going to film the birthing process (except for my privates!), so hopefully it will be as smooth and calm as we've planned on.
Okay, so I've just typed a novel and most of it was about Ava...sorry if you don't give a crap. Can you tell what's been on my mind lately??? Wish us luck! I'll be sure to keep the blog updated on any baby news!

A few changes...
The first change: my hair. I decided I was long overdue for something different so instead of being ashy-poopy colored, I am now a brunette/redhead. I was a little worried that if I went red I might just look like some teenager who got knocked up instead of a stable housewife/mother. But I quite like it.
Next: My belly is growing. That is the first thing people notice when they see me and the last thing they talk about when they leave. So yes, my belly is growing and I promise you I'm more aware of it than any of y'all. And I quite like that, too. Pregnancy is a much happier experience this time around, due mainly to my attitude I think. We're now 35 weeks along(ish), not much further to go!
Everything else is the same.
