Pictures for school

I've decided to get back into my schooling. It's been hard to motivate myself and be disciplined since this is a school that I do from home, in my own time but it's been good to get back into things a little bit. Here are a few shots for my first project.

Ava's blessing

Last Sunday was Ava's baby blessing. It was a busy day, but it was a lot of fun. Both sides of the family gathered at the church where she was blessed by Rob. I even spent the last billion weeks crocheting Ava's baby blessing dress and bonnet and it turned out pretty cute. She's such a chunk. Aunt Missy lovingly nicknamed her "butter"...because she looks like a butter ball. After church we all met at Aunt Julie's clubhouse for sloppy joes and visiting. I think it's pretty cool that so many people showed up for my baby. I think she's pretty awesome, and I guess they do too! :)

A girls best friend

Jocelyn loves this cat so much that it hurts, and quite literally sometimes. She pulls on his hair and hauls him around in weird positions, but for some reason, he seems to love her too. This is her best friend, Eddie. Eddie has a brother named Jakey who is black and white but he has wised up a bit and keeps a further distance from her. Jocelyn is not trying to be mean when she grabs a handful of Eddie's hair to bring him a little closer to her, she just wants to whisper secrets in his ear, read him books, sing him songs, and sometimes lay on top of him with her entire body weight smashing his little cat body. I used to spend a lot of my energy scolding her for not being softer. But the stupid cat just purrs despite all of the abuse. I guess he loves her too. :)
